Vegetarian Orange Pie

Composition:

  1. Flour-250 g
  2. Butter-140 g
  3. Salt – 1/2 tsp.
  4. Oranges – 3 PCs.
  5. Pitted dates-250 g
  6. Maple syrup (optional)

Preparation:

Orange pie vegetarian -mix the butter at room temperature with the flour and salt into a fine crumble. Separate the cake crumbs (to sprinkle the top of the cake), add 2 tbsp of water to the rest of the dough, and knead the dough. If necessary, add another 1 tbsp. or if the dough is too sticky, add a little flour. Ideally, the dough should be put in the refrigerator for 2 hours, but you can do it without it. Roll it out.

Cover the ceramic mold with baking paper (after crumpling it and smoothing it out, so it will fit better into the mold) and place the dough in it. Wash oranges thoroughly, trim their tails, cut and remove the bones and white webs in the center. Then, if the oranges are thin-skinned, cut all three oranges finely together with the skin, add the dates and mix until smooth.

If the oranges are thick-cored, then peel 2 of them, and cut the third with the skin. The resulting filling is put on the dough in a mold, if desired, you can pour maple syrup, sprinkle with crumbs on top, which was separated from the dough. Bake for 40 minutes at 180C, then turn off the oven and leave the cake there for another 30 minutes.
